If Irfanview is still a must-have app for you, and if your OS of choice is OS X, it's either BootCamp, Crossover, Parallels Desktop or an equivalent you'll need. Oh yeah; you'll also have to have. How long have you had your mac? Dont write off mail completely - i havent! I was an Outlook user for years, I moved to Mac OS X and am npw on Mail.app - I find it does the job great and theres notthing missing. I did use Entourage for a couple of months though - and while slow as all hell (PowerPC) it isnt as good as Mail.app. Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 was released in 2015, the basic purpose of this release is to provide better security, performance, and reliability features. This release of Mac OS X is a complete pack when you want stability, privacy, performance and better file search at the same time. Xee is a pretty good replacement for the viewer functions of Irfanview. It will rotate images, and save them as different image file types, but it will not resize or crop. However, amongst small fast Mac viewers it has the real virtue of being able to be started anywhere in a folder of images, and then move back and forth at will amongst the images.

Since I´m still relatively new in the use of Mac OS I sometimes miss some Windows apps. One of these is Irfanview which is not natively available for Mac OS. But there´s a simple solution for that:
Irfanview For Mac Os X
- Download and install Quarz – https://www.xquartz.org
- Download and install Wine – https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/macosx/download.html – I recommend using the Wine Stable installer. When installing be sure to activate the checkbox with the 64-bit support.
- Download Irfanview and extract it to a folder of your choice (e.g. Desktop/Downloads/Irfanview) – https://www.irfanview.com/64bit.htm – Be sure to download the ZIP version and NOT the installer.
- Optional – download Irfanview plugins and extract it into the plugins subfolder of the folder where you’ve extracted Irfanview (e.g. Desktop/Downloads/Irfanview/plugins) – https://www.irfanview.com/64bit.htm – Again be sure to download the ZIP version.
- Start Irfanview by double-clicking the irfanview.exe file in the Irfanview folder. Wine will then do its initial setup and needs to download Mono add-ons (required for .NET applications like Irfanview).
- After that Irfanview launches and you’re good to go.
